Changing The Cutter Blade on a Keyline Ninja
Our trusty kilo ninja key cutting machine needs a new blade. I couldn’t find a video anywhere on the Internet showing me how to do it not that it’s a difficult job, but there’s nothing out there to do it. So I thought I’d do one. First thing to do.
On the side of there, you’ll find a hole through which, obviously the thing will turn. So you need to put some small thing in through there just to lock that into place. Grab a spanner of the right size. There’s one that came with your toolkit. And remembering that this is a reverse thread, so you’ve got to undo it.
You’ve got to turn it that way. Bit counterintuitive.
Having done that, take the blade off. Now, this part is separate to the blade. Don’t lose that. For gold sake. Take that off. And that can be sent away for sharpening or recycling or whatever. Pop the new blade on.
Pop the spacer piece back. Remembering it goes the wrong way. Pop the nut back on. Remembering, like I say, it goes the wrong way.
And with the spanner
first. Then with the spanner, just tighten it up. That’s the blade changed. However, you’re not quite done yet. You need to go onto your setup menu. We have our touch screen over here. Just going to angle this so we can see both parts at the same time.
There we go. So go into the calibrations. Let’s just go back one thing. This is obviously the home screen. Go into setup calibrations. Jaw setup n zero one. For the standard jaw saying, use side a. So use the jaws. There again, in your toolkit, you have got a pair of these which you can see match the.
Match the setup there. Put those into the ajols. This is obviously checking the setup of the calibration of the machine. Click start and you can hear that that went along the key very nicely. So it is nicely calibrated as well. And now all ready for use in cutting ball keys.
