“Will it cost a lot?”

A typical system is installed in half a day, and because our systems are wireless, we don’t have to turn your home upside down to hide cables. Your system is usually fully installed and working in around 10 days from giving us the go-ahead.

“Will it work if my Wifi goes down?”
Yes it will — our systems use a different radio frequency to communicate, so it still functions as an alarm if the Wifi fails, it still detects burglary, it still triggers the siren.
However, it won’t send alerts to the smartphone app or monitoring service, except if you have the full Qolsys system or have an additional 4G module with the system.
“Do I need a monitoring service?”
All of our systems have an app, so you are able to monitor your system yourself, and many of our customers do so.
Others prefer the peace of mind from having the system monitored.
If you need a system to be NSI or SSAIB approved, perhaps your insurers are insisting upon this, then you will need the system monitored.
“Is it easy to use?”
We like to think so, yes. You use a remote control fob, similar to a car key, and it’s as simple as press a button to arm the system, and press another button to disarm it.
You won’t have the pressure of making sure you enter the right PIN within the 30 seconds before the siren triggers.
“How long do batteries last?”
The manufacturers say they last 6-8 years, but we recommend you take that with a pinch of salt!
What we’ve found, especially with our own experience with our systems at home, is that you can expect battery life of 4-5 years.

The Powermaster alarm system comes with two movement sensors and one door sensor. The movement sensors are pet-tolerant, so you won’t need to worry about false alarms. The system is operated by remote control fobs, meaning the control panel can be hidden. It includes an external siren to notify anyone near your property. Qolsys PM Alarm System
Qolsys PM is a trimmed-back version of the full Qolsys system. It still gives you an ultra-modern touchscreen control panel, and systems come with three pet-tolerant movement sensors, one door sensors, an external siren, and 2 remote control fobs. We offer complete installation including connecting your alarm system to your broadband and setting up the app. We provide a 2 year warranty for all components.
