“How far back can we view recordings?”
It depends on how big your hard drive is, and how we’ve set up the system.
For systems that record 24/7, we aim to give you at least 30 days recordings. For systems that only record on motion, recordings can go back months.
“What happens to older footage?”
Once your hard drive is full, it simply overwrites the oldest footage with the latest.
“What if my neighbours object?”
We always recommend that you let your neighbours know that you’re having a CCTV system installed.
Most will be quite happy, as it will help protect them too. However, some may object, and they are quite within their rights to. We can set up “masks” on the recorder, so that the system doesn’t record anywhere that has an objection.
“Can I view footage remotely?”
Yes, if we connect your recorder to your broadband router.
We will help you to download and set up the smartphone app, and then, so long as you have a Wifi or 4G signal wherever you are, you can log in to your recorder and see live or recorded footage.

How Much Does a CCTV System Cost?
If you require a bespoke system there are a range of factors that need to be taken into account. The number of cameras is a key consideration, as well as the quality of these cameras. Most cctv systems will provide 2MP cameras but we can provide up to 8MP, which should be more than sufficient for your needs. A 1TB hard drive will usually provide two weeks worth of footage, however if your system is more advanced, you will need more storage. Additionally installation costs depend on the complexity of the CCTV system.
