No, we won’t.
If you’re locked out because there’s a key on the inside, or the door has slammed shut behind you, we have specialist tools that don’t damage the door.
On the rare occasions where we need to drill the lock (maybe because you’ve lost your keys) it would only be the lock that’s damaged and changed, the door itself would be unharmed
If there’s nothing wrong with your lock, and your problem is down to keys, then no we won’t have to replace the lock.
Even if the lock does have a problem, on many occasions it just needs adjusting, so again, we won’t replace the lock.
Generally we only do so if you’ve lost keys or the fault is not repairable.
If you’re asking us to gain entry to the property, then yes, you will. There have been a few instances of criminals using an unsuspecting locksmith to get them in, so we will need to see some sort of ID which has the property address on it.
If you’re inside the building already, and your lock is faulty, then we won’t require identification.
