What To Do With The Boxes Your Christmas Presents Came In

Welcome to your first Wednesday Wisdom of 2025. I hope you’ve all had a really good Christmas.
Tell me, well, don’t tell me, this is a rhetorical question, did you treat yourself to a new iPador a new phone or something like that this Christmas? Did you get the kids a new games console?

If you did what did you do with the box that that nice piece of tech equipment came in? Did you put it in the recycling?

Because it’s not unknown for burglars to go round on recycling day and just check, especially after Christmas, who’s got a nice new gizmo for Christmas, so if you’ve popped your Xbox or iPad box in the recycling, you’re potentially advertising to all the burglars out there that you’ve got a nice new tech gizmo that’s nice and worth stealing.

What I suggest you do instead is to take it back out of the recycling and just take a quick trip up to the local recycling centre and recycle the boxes there, and that way your local burglars will not know what you’ve got.
