Back at the start of this pandemic, we saw footage of the Chinese authorities using handheld temperature sensors to check whether their citizens had a fever.

This technology has now made its way to the UK, in the form of the ACTC Face Recognition Temperature Indicator Camera. This tablet shaped device has a high accuracy read rate.

It can detect many sorts of attempts to fool it – see the video for examples.

It can also be linked to an access control system, denying access to those it detects as having a fever.

Where would you use this? Any medical facility, hospitals, GP surgeries. Gyms and other sports facilities. Perhaps restaurants. Shops & cinemas. Offices and factories. These are just a few examples.
