Steel Entry Doors vs. Fiberglass Entry Doors: Which is the Better Choice?
When it comes to choosing an entry door for your home, the decision often comes...
WARNING: THIS POST IS NOT ABOUT CORONAVIRUS
But what to write about? Is anyone interested in reading about something other than Corovid-19? I do hope so.
I would like you to take a moment to consider your garage.
If you’re like me, there’s barely enough room for your car in it.
If you’re like most people I know, you just plain don’t have enough room for your car in it.
So, what is in your garage? Do you have bikes? Do you have power tools? Do you have garden equipment? That’s all stuff that’s flogable for a quick bit of cash. Now add up the value of that stuff. How much is it going to cost you to replace it?
“It’s OK, it’s insured!”
Well, OK, so it’ll cost you your excess – which is probably around £250.
But will it be insured? The insurers are going to want to know that you’ve taken proper steps to protect your property.
So if you’ve got a cheap and cheerful lock on the garage door, either you’ll find that your claimed is denied, or that they increase your excess.
All that hassle for the want of spending £150 on having a proper deadlock fitted to the garden door, and maybe £200 on additional locks for the up&over door.
If you want to know if your locks are up to scratch, give me a call.
