What your home controller needs to know

We call these Motion Sensors.

That’s true, that’s what they do. At about the size of a ping-pong ball, they sense movement in your home, fully adjustable to take account of pets.

The multi-colour LED within the sensor can be programmed to give a visual indication of a number of different parameters.

But they don’t just sense movement. They have temperature and light level sensors built in as well as a vibration accelerometer. Giving these small sensors such flexibility means that system costs are minimised.

Flood Sensors

The Flood Sensor is equipped with 3 gold probes, designed to sense water. When it does, its internal siren sounds, as well as sending the signal back to the Home Center, for more action to be taken.

Output terminals allow it to be used in an existing alarm system, whilst additional input terminals allow external probes to be connected, so that it can be located in a convenient place, whilst still sensing water in hard-to-reach areas.

Smoke Sensors

The Smoke Sensor is beautifully designed and at just 65mm diameter and 28mm thick, you will hardly notice it.
It senses smoke both optically and by detecting ionisation, and if that wasn’t enough, it also detects rapid temperature rises, and will trigger when it senses a temperature above 54C

Its sensitivity is adjustable, so it won’t go off when you burn the toast.

door-window-sensors

Door and Window Sensors

Door and Window Sensors detect whether a door or a window is open or shut – simple.

Except that you can also connect up to 4 auxiliary temperature sensors. Or any other type of binary sensor (ie “sensed” or “not sensed” conditions) to include non-Zwave sensors in a system.

And they’re available in a range of colours to suit your door or window.
